Mounting and Framing for Maarten Haverkamp Exhibit

Photo Craft Imaging / PCI GrafXGroup is proud to be a part of the current exhibit of Dutch photographer Maarten Haverkamp at the Sellars Project Space in Denver.  Jimmy Sellars of Services for Artists and the ccontacted us for mounting and framing of the 20x30 images which Maarten carefully transported from Holland.  Maarten's intent was to allow the images to speak for themselves so we decided that an ultra low profile frame with no glass would be the means to this end.

The resulting exhibit was spectacular.  Because Maarten's work is so quiet and contemplative, the images were the only thing lit in the gallery which created a real intimacy between the work and the viewer.  Maarten, who is a landscape architect by trade, has travelled the world recording his observations and revelations.  As Maarten so eloquently states, "I attempt to inhabit the heart of the space, what it is, what has happened in it, who was here, and what it tells me about myself. I try to weave each of these threads into my photos".

Sellars Project Space is located at 4430 Tennyson in Denver's Historic Highlands District and is open Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or by appointment.  The exhibit runs through April 2nd.
